Mystery Corvette Race Car

By Petra & Rolf Gersch

sideview.JPG (30592 bytes)We have just found a 1969 race Corvette in Belgium and bought it without papers. The seller told us the car was imported from the U.S. about 1990. We have located the Chassis no. which is 9S706261. We think the car was modified for long distance racing since it has large Tilton brakes and the suspension is completely safety wired. The car now has a 350 SB dry sump racing engine an extensively modified removeble body panels.

We suspect the car can possibily be identified by the special exhaust system which has dual outlets and super trap restrictors.

Can you provide any assistance to help us locate the original or other race teams that may have raced this car or can help compile its history?

We have inclosed some photos wich may help. Thank You!
